Volunteers
Throughout its history, the Southeast Asian Community Center has received substantial support from numerous volunteers. Currently, we are fortunate to have a dedicated team that manages our weekly Free Food Distribution Program for low-income residents. Every Friday morning, several volunteers arrive before 6 AM to wait for food delivery from the San Francisco Food Bank. They are loading it into our food pantry and packing these items before distributing them. Subsequently, these volunteers facilitate the distribution of food donations to 250 immigrant households. This volunteer team has collaborated for many years and has become an essential and integral component of the Southeast Asian Community Center’s community.
Community Advocacy Volunteers
Community advocacy volunteers play a vital role in our area by raising awareness, addressing social issues, and supporting underrepresented groups. At the Southeast Asian Community Center, they empower residents and ensure access to resources by connecting them with local government agencies. By working closely with community members, these volunteers tackle challenges, share information, and mobilize efforts for improvement and empowerment. Their contributions strengthen our community and inspire others to get involved.
